Why I stopped posting for a week – Part 2

Lachlan didn’t die.

I was able to pull it together and remember Meagan’s number.

Gage answered her phone in the ambulance as they drove to the hospital. He told me they were going to the one downtown, not the one on Brownsboro, which is good because I would have gone to Brownsboro if he hadn’t told me.

They had Lachlan stay the night at the hospital. They ran some tests to scan his brain to make sure he’s okay.

We always want our kids to be outstanding, amazing, the best at everything they do, but when it comes to anything medical, we want them to be the most average possible. “I just want him to be normal,” we pray, like we’re a bunch of little, insecure teenagers.

The tests came back normal, thank God.

It sounds like Lachlan is just going to have seizures when his temperature spikes too fast. They gave us some extra medicine, in case he has one that lasts too long.
