One big goal per year, every year of your life

What did you do in 1993?

What about ’98?

2006?

Looking back from the end of your life, don’t you want to distinctly remember each of your years? Heck, wouldn’t that be nice looking back even now, even just to last year?

Sure, it might happen on its own. Judging by the past, though, and the memories that escape me, planning seems like a more effective approach.

Set a focus, a locus, each year. Make it something big, something distinct, something memorable. Make it something you care about.

I mean, how many of these opportunities will you have? Seventy altogether? Maybe 80? How many do you have left? A few dozen? A few hand-fulls?

I have seven left.

Life is short. Remember it.
