Meagan and I came up with these together this year, sprinkling in some throughout the year, texting a few back and forth at work, and finally lounging in our cozy living room finishing out the list.

  11. Waiting for over an hour trying to get a burger at Waylon’s with the Joneses and Cohnses and then not getting any because they were sold out
  12. Volunteering at the YMCA for Be The Church Day at Springdale
  13. Attending Gage’s sixth grade orientation
  14. Attending the Sonitrol picnic in July
  15. Attending the CD Baby Musician’s Conference
  16. Eating lunch and Chris Robley sitting down to join our CD Baby table
  17. Reaching 10,000 views on YouTube for Haunted by a Memory
  18. Redoing the mulch in front of our house
  19. Painting the shutters

  21. Putting the three guitars up on the wall
  22. Leading worship for the Life Group

  31. Getting poison ivy all over my stomach and around my eye
  32. Holding Lachlan while he had a seizure
  33. Riding to the hospital with Lachlan in the ambulance
  34. Sending a ton of paperwork to Norton’s to see if they will cover some of our medical costs
  35. Attending the Calvary Chapel Family Conference (this was the one with the magician)
  36. Attending the Calvary Chapel Men’s Conference
  37. Trouble shooting all day long with technicians on the phone
  38. Going to Severns to help walk that project
  39. Going to VSG to help get their access control set up
  40. Working more hours in one week for Sonitrol than I ever had before
  41. Hearing that David was leaving Sonitrol
  42. Riding up in the one-man lift at South Harrison schools
  43. Trouble shooting with technicians on second shift at KY Trailer
  44. Eating at J. Alexander’s with Gage and Lachlan for our anniversary dinner
  45. Walking around with Meagan with pink hair and Gage with aqua hair
  46. Becoming an uncle to Walter
  47. Hosting Easter at our house with the eggs with all the weird little toys inside
  48. Hosting Thanksgiving at our house with both sides of the family, the Reimers, and the Lopezes packed in
  49. Signing the tablecloth on Christmas Day
  50. Attending the Sonitrol Christmas party and winning almost all the prizes
  51. Throwing Gage an emoji party for his birthday
  52. Trying to eat a doughnut off a string at Gage’s birthday party
  53. Going with Zach to get his first shave for his 12th birthday and learning the Epic Birthday Song
  54. Getting Hunchback Whale music played on the radio, a lot on Spotify, and hearing back from the radio station
  55. Trying out No Baked, the cookie dough restaurant
  56. Going to the Hibma’s Cinco De Derby Party
  57. Holding Gage’s hand while he got his shot every two weeks
  58. Running into Stephanie Wilding at the Springdale/Church of the Ville joint service
  59. Watching Lachlan snap my yellow sunglasses moments after Steve said, “Wow, he looks like he might break those…”
  60. Hearing Lachlan’s first word, Dada (pronounced “da-DUUUUUUH”)
  61. Battling it out in the Upper Room Nerf Wars
  62. Watching Gage and Zach battle it out at the foam war arena in the mall
  63. Being part of Zach, under 18 at the time, taking the last five-dollar gift card at Half Price Books
  64. Playing Code Names with Bryce and his family and then with Life Group
  65. Hiking Rose Island, an island on the Ohio River where there used to be an abandoned amusement park
  66. Hiking the Bridges to the Past in West Point, KY
  67. Hiking two trails at the Parklands
  68. Climbing the steps up the yellow silo at the Parklands
  69. Going to the Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy tribute band battle with Ted for his birthday
  70. Getting a cajon for Christmas
  71. Borrowing Poppy’s chainsaw and cutting up the first round of tree branches that fell in our backyard
  72. Cutting up the second round of tree branches from that same tree when more of it fell in our backyard this fall
  73. Waking up at 5am and texting a friend as accountability for a month straight
  74. Getting serious about writing my memoir
  75. Spending a whole day writing at Heine Bros. and the library
  76. Canceling our Netflix subscription
  77. Stopping writing here on the blog for 2018 (except for my birthday post, the year-end review, and this list of rapid-fire memories)
  78. Reading the Bible together as a family each day for a month straight
  79. Making dozens of album cover designs for Hunchback Whale’s album and still not having one we like
  80. Meeting up with Ted before church
  81. Meeting and hanging out with Ken Smith
  82. Getting coffee with Eric Wren
  83. Getting coffee with Bryce Lewis
  84. Visiting Grandpa Jones and giving him the horse blanket the second time
  85. Watching Mo’Nay while her mom went into labor
  86. Walking all around Middletown with Lachlan one evening with the wagon

  113. Helping Gage with his lemonade stand and then watching it all fall over in front of Louvino

  116. Watching Gage win the jackpot on the big slots machine at Main Event
  117. Trying Dragon Ball Ice Cream, that smoking ice cream place
