Did you know that Amazon’s Kindle book app is available for free for PC and Macs?
Sure, it’s not the same as having a dedicated e-reader, enjoying the high quality e-ink and e-ness of it all. But if you don’t mind your screen, you can still get all the books, even the free ones, right on your computer.
In fact, if you prefer reading on your iPhone or some other device, you can get the Kindle app there too. Or you can just get the Cloud version and read from a browser anywhere with open Internet.
Here’s how (click to learn more).
On top of just normal book buying and all that, through the Kindle service, you can read the first chapter or so of most books. This is a great way to check out whether or not you really want to buy a book. Or if you’re like me and enjoy checking out lots of books even if you have no intention of buying them, you can do that through Kindle too.
Anyway, just thought I’d give you a heads up in case you didn’t know about this.
Better hurry, though: this amazingness is only going to last a little while. Pretty soon, I’m pretty sure we’ll all have Kindles, or whatever the next big reading device will be.
