I hinted at this earlier this month. I mentioned that even at 4:[something] am my day isn’t over.
Dru and I have had this discussion before. For us, the new day doesn’t start at midnight. We joke around like it does, but we don’t really consider it a new day at 12:01 am. For us at least, we stay up too late too often for that to be the beginning of the new day.
But if that’s not, what is? If the new day doesn’t really seem to start at midnight, when does it start?
Dru and I settled, and he can correct me if I’m wrong on this, that the new day starts at 7:30 am.
How did we arive at that time? Well, once you’ve stayed up until 7:30, we figured you could go ahead and say you stayed up all night even if you went to bed/took a nap right then. You couldn’t say that if you fell asleep at 7:00.
I’m not really sure why. I just know that’s the way it is. At 7:30 am, the new day begins.
