The Jack Bauer Promise goes like this:
“If you [DO THIS CRAZY THING THAT WILL HOPEFULLY SAVE A TON OF LIVES AND CATCH THE BAD GUYS], I will do everything in my power to keep [YOU/PERSON YOU LOVE] safe.”
Note…
- Problem #1: “if.” That’s a conditional.
- Problem #2: big requirement. That’s pretty unlikely.
- Problem #3: “everything in my power.” That means nothing.
How do you make your promises?
Haha, never trust a Jack Bower promise…he’ll do what he has to for the ends, but nevermind the means. My promise goes like this “As soon as I get around to it, I’ll do it.” The only problem being the 37547659 things I have to accomplish first.
Jack’s problem is conflicting promises – yours is too many. :>)
