I’ve not used facebook chat (or any other chat) much this year. But after spending about six hours today on facebook and Google chat combined, I must say… I still love it.
It’s not so much that I love facebook or Google chat in particular. In fact, at one point, my computer locked up completely because of it, and it does take a lot of time (video, like Skype… even Google, is better). It’s more the idea of it.
I love being able to connect with new people or people I wouldn’t otherwise be able to contact in real time. I love the casualness of it. I love that everyone can and often does use it (as opposed to video right now).
All this to say, chat, though I’ll still mostly stay off, I’m still in love with you. :>)
