Traditionally, the first of January is the day I make some big announcement revealing a project or aim for the year ahead. Well, it looks like this time I’m breaking that tradition. I’m not revealing much today.
Having learned from my time in Korea, I decided to announce my plans for moving to Saudi Arabia as soon as I landed back in Kentucky. I feel like it makes the transitions easier if everyone knows what to expect right when I arrive in a country I’m planning to leave.
I published the other big announcements from last year, the adoption fund and the Master’s degree, when I finished them, marking a switch in how I tackle these kinds of projects. That switch worked so well, in fact, that I’m going to adopt it more in the future, starting now.
So, although I don’t have a big unveiling at the moment, the announcement of the day is that I do have a secret project I’m starting this year.
No, I’m not going to tell you offline or in private what the project involves, but yes, I’m totally going to annoy you with the secrecy of it, dropping hints here and there on Marshallogue to remind you. That’s part of the fun of projects like this. It helps me keep my motivation high.
This is going to be intense, but I’m looking forward to the ride. And here we go, hands up the whole way…
