Through a series of links in blog rolls and blog posts, I stumbled on an article about living without a refrigerator. Specifically, this man has lived without a refrigerator for the past 30+ years.
Once again, this is a habit I never considered. I take my fridge for granted, even in my place in Korea. But the thing is, I definitely don’t need it. For the first few months in fact, I rarely used it at all.
Now it’s full, though, of stuff that doesn’t belong, like garlic and carrots and cucumbers.
So I emptied it out today, and then unplugged it. I’ll keep it around since it came with my apartment. But over the next few weeks, for all practical purposes, I won’t have a refrigerator.
And I’ll share the experience here.
