It’s easy…
- To accuse celebrities of being lousy role models.
- To complain that teachers aren’t challenging their students enough.
- To assume politicians are lying idiots.
- To blast corporations for their cold-hearted layoffs.
- To argue that marketers only promote shallow, quick-fix products.
But it’s much harder to take responsibility. It’s much harder to admit that you and I should…
- Mentor someone ourselves.
- Thank our teachers for challenging projects.
- Rally around smart, honest leaders.
- Create work for people without jobs.
- Buy lasting solutions even when they hurt for now.
Maybe the people supposedly responsible in that first group are just like you and me. Maybe it’s easy…
…to only care about ourselves.
