The older I get, the more interested I get in politics but the less interested I get in voting. It’s like the more I learn about the dynamics behind how the government works, the less I’m convinced of the importance of any individual votes.
I’m still voting this year, though only for the same reason I’ve voted before.
But beyond trying to influence the government – no small feat in itself, for sure – I’m more interested in how the game gets played: how politicians decide what to say or promote, and how we decide who wins, regardless of votes.
