When I say I don’t have time for something, it’s usually just that I don’t have the attention for it.
It’s like watching TV with commercials. Even at 30% of the total show time, it’s not that I don’t have the time for the commercials. The real aggravation is the interruption. Each time a commercial interrupts, I have to switch attention.
I’m learning to say, “I don’t have the attention for that,” instead of tricking myself or others into thinking it’s really a matter of time.
