How I fight depression

Okay, I am NOT a depressed kind of person. On a happiness scale from 1 to 10, I go from 5 to 15. This is one way I keep that up.

I say, “I’m depressed.”

Just saying that out loud, especially if I can actually say it to someone, jolts me out of it. Because to me, being depressed is utterly ridiculous. And saying that I’m depressed reminds me how whiny and pathetic it sounds.

Sorry if that doesn’t help you out, but that seems to work for me.
