Saw Inception for the second time. This time I noticed they emphasized that one way to tell if you’re dreaming is to ask yourself if you can remember how you got where you are. If you can’t, you’re probably dreaming.
That’s some good writing. That diagnostic does seem to work for dreams. But it also works in real life, really. Because in real life, we can’t remember how we got here. We remember days past but can’t remember back past a certain age. We don’t remember being born or gaining consciousness. We just are, kind of like how it happens in dreams.
So yeah, this could be a dream. You could be dreaming right now… at least according to Inception’s description. Well played, Mr. Nolan.
