Considering the amount of people who reject “faith” on the grounds that it’s not scientific, it’s pretty intriguing to me how many of them have never run any of their own systematic experiments or are flat out unwilling to do so.
- “I know I couldn’t live on the exact same meals each day.” Well, have you tried it for a month?
- “I know I couldn’t bike to work every day.” Really? Have you tried it even twice in a row?
- “I know I couldn’t trust that book.” And you’ve read it, have you?
So how do you know?
