The idea behind the structure of this site was to create an intro that tells who I am, keep the blog as the place where I share what I’m thinking, and then have the outro list and link to all the projects I’m working on or doing. That seems to follow Simon Sinek’s Why, How, and What, and I like it.
So for a while now, I’ve been thinking about how I want to set up the “outro” page, Marshland, the one about what I do. I wanted to keep the three section theme that runs throughout the rest of the site. I just couldn’t make up my mind on how I wanted to do that.
Well, I think I’ve finally made a decision. The three main sections will be Do, Doing, and Done.
- Do will be a list of things I want to do. More than that, though, it will be a list of things I’m planning and trying to do, not just a wish list.
- Doing will be a list of things I’m doing right now, including work related stuff, projects, and interests I’m currently engaged in.
- Done will be a list of things I’ve done in the past, like a life portfolio. It’ll be the longest of the lists because items won’t come off once they’re on it.
I’ll try to update each list in real time so each is always current (or close to it). I plan to roll out these lists over the next few days and write about each in more detail. For now, at least you’ve been introduced.
