Daniel Delaney from VendrTV (a recently exploding food vlog) recently quoted Cory Doctorow on Mixergy.com. (I included all those links because I’m now fans of all these guys – at least partly because of this simple quote.)
Let me set this up with some background. Online, there’s a doctrine going around that content is king. Meaning that the foundation of your efforts have to be around the content. You need other things as well, but if you’re content is lousy, you’re going to have trouble.
In the wake of all this, Cory Doctorow’s quote hit me and resonated with me more than any other quote I’ve heard lately (and I hear a lot).
Here’t is:
“Conversation is king. Content is just something to talk about.” -Cory Doctorow
At least for now, that’s what I think too. I hope I’m a converser.
