Maybe I’ve just never experienced a northern city among the mountains during the Christmas approach. Maybe that’s it. Maybe that’s why, now, here in Juneau, this feels like such a Christmas land.
Maybe it’s not just this city. Maybe this happens elsewhere as well. I don’t know. If it does, I haven’t experienced it.
This feels more like Christmas here.
There’s no Christmas music, none that I’ve heard anyway. It’s not like every house shines with millions of lights and candled wreaths. Santa Claus doesn’t live here. I haven’t even noticed one of him.
Maybe that’s why it feels like Christmas land here. Somehow it’s more honest.
