So I made it to Day 21, more or less. I had a few breaks on weekends, a few I didn’t even realize. But overall, I pretty much did what I wanted to do with the experiment.
For the warm up. ‘Cause like I said, I’m planning to ditch the TV altogether in Korea.
So lessons learned, lessons learned. Let’s keep this all one liners, for the bloated fun of it:
- I didn’t get as much out of it as I hoped.
- Turns out, by the time I start watching TV, I’m pretty much not going to get anything else done… except sleep, and that doesn’t count.
- Still, I missed nothing.
- Movies and TV shows and whatever else plays on that thing don’t even register for me, for the most part.
- For the most part, it’s forgettable.
- With a few notable exceptions.
- A few documentaries might be decent every once in a while.
- Like the origami documentary, Between the Folds (check it).
- And I’m sure a couple other movies come out each year that are decent.
- Like Inception.
- Actually, nothing’s like that movie, but you know what I mean.
- Anyway, I think overall I just like hanging out with people, and if that means watching TV with people, I’d rather do that than… not.
- As far as TV itself goes, though, I didn’t get much but I didn’t lose much.
- As far as TV goes, I’m indifferent.
