It occurred to as I read through Anne Lemott’s article, that everything I write here is a first draft. Everything.
Sure, sometimes I actually reread or rework some of what I’m writing before hitting publish. But sometimes I don’t. Either way, that’s not what I mean.
I mean, everything here is a first draft in that I’m not worried about how good it is. I’m just throwing it out there. Eventually, I’ll use the ideas I share here to write other stuff or do other stuff or just to inspire other stuff.
For now, though, I’m just writing… and writing, in my world, doesn’t include editing.
