It’s been on my Do list for a while, and I haven’t crossed anything off lately. I think I’ve kind of been putting it off because I’ve failed at it before. I tried working up to it probably five or six years ago, but – although I improved dramatically – I never reached the goal.
This time, I’m going to give myself a little more time. This time, I’d like to make it to the end. I want to move it to the Done list. I want to complete 100 pushups in one set.
Like my last attempt, I’m going to follow The Hundred Push Ups Training Program. Different from my last attempt, though, if I can’t complete one of the days properly, I’m going to finish off the rest of the sets for that day and the rest of that week as close to the plan as I can and then repeat the entire week’s schedule the following week. I’m hoping this will keep me in a better rhythm while still increasing my strength and endurance.
I knocked out the first day today. I felt pretty weak but not too terrible. It should be an interesting challenge.
The plan at this point is to post an update on it once a week to track my progress and keep me publicly accountable. I’m pretty lazy when it comes to this stuff, so we’ll see how it goes.
