"You don’t always have a choice"

A few weeks ago, my perspective changed because my friend, Dru, shared something with me. We’d had a conversation, almost like my forcing choice post. And at the time, I thought he agreed with me.

He didn’t.

So a couple days later, he sent me something that included this, which is a much more practical perspective:

It is easy to play the victim

To say I never had a choice

Out of my control

There is no ball

And if there were

It wouldn’t be in my court

Sometimes you can’t choose

To get cancer

Or get dead

I used to say that everything is a choice

Now I say everything is a

Response

Thank you, Dru. I’m with you now.
