How I want my finances when I die

William Penn, the man who founded Pennsylvania, died a pauper.

Depending on who you ask or read, he basically wasted his money. He didn’t set up his state correctly to make a profit. I remember reading that he squandered the money he did have by giving it away.

I don’t know how accurate that is. I know he had a lot of debt as well. What I like, though, is the story. If he did die penniless after establishing one of the best early colonies in the New World, I hope it was because he gave it all away.

That’s how I want to die.
