Space to understand

When I first started watching Mixergy, Andrew Warner kept harping on the benefits of hearing from entrepreneurs who had since left their companies. He said they were more likely to talk frankly about their businesses.

Attachments sever. Time passes. Lips loosen. Authenticity oozes out.

I didn’t understand this, though, because I didn’t have anything to keep quiet, no attachments to sever.

That’s not so much the case anymore. Now I understand. Now there are things I need to leave alone for a while before talking about them, things I’m too close to now, things that need space to understand.
