"Marshallogue" – Too confusing?

Right now, this blog is simply named after me: “Marshall Jones Jr.” At first, I just wanted my name so people could find it in search, but since then I’ve wanted to give it a more proper name. Trouble was, I couldn’t come up with anything.

Until recently.

Recently I was thinking about the word “dialogue.” Then my thoughts shifted to “monologue.” If you haven’t noticed, I’m a word geek, so I was thinking about how those words are constructed and the meanings behind them.

That’s when I came up with “Marshallogue.”

And “Marshallog.”

Question is, is that too confusing? Is “Marshallogue” clear enough to understand even without the explanation? Should I spell it “Marshallog” – is that better?

Do you even like the name?

Let me know your thoughts. (“Remember, this is for posterity, so… be honest.”)

  1. Yes, or even like “blog.” Whatever. What do you think?

  2. ohhhh i didn’t even make the connection that the other way was like blog. haha. but i like the other way better…the one like dialogue. 🙂

  3. Thanks, I think Marshallogue looks better, but I worried about people seeing it and not even trying to pronounce it. It only makes sense when it’s pronounced.

I think I’ll switch it, though.
